PURPOSE: To contrive to make the superior performance characteristics of a capacitor fulfill in a high-temperature working atmosphere specially by a method wherein a specified organic polymer is used as a dielectric for capacitor use.
CONSTITUTION: A capacitor is constituted of a dielectric consisting of an organic polymer and a three-dimensional structure addition polymer obtainable from an aromatic polybasic acid alkenyl ester compound monomer, which is shown by the formula [R1 and R2 are an alkenyl group of 3 to 8c, which may be identical to each other or different from each other, R3 and R4 are hydrogen atoms, an alkyl group of 1 to 8c, an alkoxy group of 1 to 5c or a -(CO)-O-R group, the R in the -(CO)-O-R group is an alkenyl group of 3 to 8c and the R' in a -R'-C3N group is an alkylene group of 2 to 5c] as a dielectric for capacitor use, is used as the dielectric. In the case the compound monomer is synthesized, it can be obtained by a method wherein an aromatic polybasic acid is made to react with alcohol under an acid catalyst and is esterfied.
