Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capillary tube for refrigerator or an air conditioner with which the strength of the contracted part formed in the capillary is improved, to prevent cracking generated in forming the contracted part and to improve the reliability of a product, and to provide its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: A compression device 20 comprises a hollow cylindrical guide 22 having a plurality of sliding grooves 21 formed radially with specified intervals and a core 24 inserted in each sliding groove 21 in the longitudinally movable manner by a hydraulic cylinder 23. A copper pipe 15 to form a contracted part 12 is disposed inside the guide 22, the hydraulic cylinder 23 is simultaneously operated, the core 24 is moved toward the central axis of the guide 22 to form the contracted part 12 smaller in diameter than the copper pipe 15, and a plurality of supporting ribs 13 are integratedly formed on the outer circumferential surface in the longitudinal direction of the copper pipe 15 to constitute a capillary for a refrigerator or an air conditioner.
