Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a capped liquid holding container in which a cap can be bonded with high watertightness and airtightness to the liquid holding container when a supply port made in the liquid holding container is enclosed while enhancing the operability at the time of unsealing.
SOLUTION: A liquid 3 is held in a liquid holding container 1, a port 22 for supplying the liquid 3 to a recording element in an ink jet recorder is made in the container 1 and the supply port 22 is enclosed by a cap 2. A plurality of welding protrusions 6 are formed on the fringe at a tubular part covering the supply port 22 and welded to the container 1 by ultrasonic welding. Since the tubular part of the cap 2 is rigid, the cap 2 scarcely causes creep deformation and a capped liquid holder exhibiting high watertightness and airtightness is realized. Furthermore, operability is enhanced at the time of unsealing the container 1 because the cap 2 is removed therefrom by turning the cap 2 and shearing the welded part 6.
