PURPOSE: To reduce a cycle time by smoothly braking even a capsule having heavy weight and a wide range of approach speeds through a relatively simple mechanism and at a relatively short distance, and enabling the capsule to be transferred to the next process.
CONSTITUTION: A capsule deceleration device such as a torque converter 4 and a drive device such as a motor 5 are connected via a reducer 3 to rubber tiers 1A and 1B rotatably supported and so laid as to be capable of being pressed to the side of a capsule C. Also, the tires 1A and 1B are kept rotating at a speed less than capsule approach speed on the operation of the motor 5. When the capsule C approaches, the speed of the tires 1A and 1B increases due to a frictional force, and the torque converter 4 at the side of the tiers 1A and 1B gives a slip relative to the drive side, thereby absorbing an excess of torque. As a result, the capsule C is decelerated and braked.
