Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a caption line by logically operating the count of horizontal synchronizing signal to input and the absolute time of an inputted horizontal synchronizing signal so as to utilize its result value.
SOLUTION: A video signal Vin is applied to a low-pass filter 11 and an amplifier part 12, respectively applied to a data slicer 13 and a synchronizing signal separation part 14 next, divided into data of prescribed units by the data slicer 13 and applied to a caption decoder 15. On the other hand, the video signal is separated into a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal by the part 14 and applied to the decoder 15. Next, after the decoder 15 respectively counts the number and the absolute time of horizontal signals to apply and the counted values are logically operated, a 21-th scanning line inputted to a field is detected. Next, decoded data is applied to a character/ video synchronizing part 16 to display caption line data.
