To provide a captured image data processing apparatus and a captured image data processing method which prevent a third person viewing an image based on captured image data from having a feeling of discomfort while preventing the captured image data transmitted to an external device from being abused.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 comprises: a body presence/absence determination unit 11 which determines whether captured image data includes an image of a part of a body or not when an instruction to transmit the captured image data is given; a captured image data duplication unit 12 which generates duplicate data if the captured image data includes an image of a part of a body; an image processing execution unit 13 which takes the duplicate data as the object to subject a biological information image to image processing for preventing the biological information image from being used for biometric authentication while maintaining overall features of appearance of the part of the body; and a duplicate data transmission unit 14 which transmits the duplicate data. Thus data which cannot be abused for biometric authentication and holds overall features of appearance of the part of the body where biological information is formed is transmitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
