To provide a single operation type tire chain for resolving a great deal of time and a difficulty in working on the way of driving for installing a tire chain on a tire of an automobile on a cold snowy day.
A capturing metal fitting 2 is made of spring steel and easily captured by a tire, and is made chainlike shape by boring a hole in an edge 4 provided at the bottom of the capturing metal fitting 2 to pass a square metal fitting for the chain 3 through the hole. The capturing metal fitting 2 is surely captured and is hard to be off because of a reversed claw and a small protrusion provided inside of the capturing metal fitting 2, and is also safe because a binding cord 5 tightens toward the center. This chain can be mounted by nothing but arranging the chain in one row, slowly driving back an automobile, tightening the binding cord 5 followed by binding round the rest of the cord 5 between presser bar springs 7 and 8 and fastening by clamping the cord 5. This chain can be off at dismounting of the chain after finishing employment by squeezing a wedge plate between the tire and the capturing metal fitting 2 and downwardly pushing the bottom with a driver followed by unfastening each part in turn.
