Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body front structure including a lateral member reduced in weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle body front structure includes: a front side frame 1; a lateral member 3; a sub-frame 5; and a sub-frame mounting section 8 for fastening a rear end of the sub-frame 5. The lateral member 3 includes: a lateral member body 30 which has a hole section 31 formed at a bottom wall 30a; and a reinforcement member 40 which is formed of a material having lower tensile strength than the lateral member body 30, is superposed on the bottom wall 30a of the lateral body 30, is joined in the lateral member body 30 and has a fastening nut N3 arranged on an upper side. The hole section 31 has a large diameter hole 32 which has a larger diameter than the fastening nut N3 and a notched section 33 formed by notching an end edge of the large diameter hole 32. The reinforcement member 40 has a recessed wall section 41 formed by being recessed downward so as to correspond to the hole section 31. The recessed wall section 41 has a drainage hole 47 corresponding to the notched section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
