Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a number plate and side rolls caused by positional discation of the number plate from the frame center line of a continuous car washer.
SOLUTION: In a car washer in which while a vehicle V is carried by a slat conveyer 3, a pair of right and left side rolls 13L, 13R provided on a traveling frame 10 are moved to open, thereby washing the front of the vehicle V, if the position of a number plate P of a vehicle V to be washed is shifted to the right from the center line Lf of the traveling frame 10, the left side roll 13L is moved to open from the start position which has a small distance DL from the center line Lf to the left, and the right side roll 13R is moved to open from the start position which has a large distance DR from the center line Lf to the right.
