To provide a car door lock whose connection mechanism can be easily assembled in particular and whose structure is correct in the function so as not to bring a power transmission in between a door outside handle and a door lock and also unlock the door lock in the area of the door outside handle even when the door plate warps.
This car door lock is provided with a pull handle 1 and a door lock operated through a connection mechanism when the pull handle is operated. The connection mechanism is provided with an operation member 3 provided with an operation nut 4 rotated by the pull handle, an eccentric ring 5 rotatably supported having an operating shaft 6 with an operating pinion 7, and at least one connection lever connected to the eccentric ring and the outside operating lever 2. The operating member provided with the operating nut surrounds the operating pinion acting together with the operating nut. In this way, the horizontal motion of the pull handle is changed to a rotary motion and as a result, when the pull handle is warped owing to deflection of the door plate caused by an accident, automatic unlocking of the door lock is eliminated.
