PURPOSE: To arange compactly the inner part of driver's cabin especially the instrument panel and to facilitate the driving operation, by a method wherein many switching modes are selectively changed over and controlled by a simple display means and operation means.
CONSTITUTION: CRT10 is assembled into an instrument panel to display many sorts of functions for cars, and a keyboards 20 comprising a selection key 26 and an operation key 28 is installed to change-over and control the display of said CRT10 and many sorts of operation modes. CRT10 displays speed meter readings in ordinary cases and for instance, when audio equipment is selected by a mode selection key 26, a receivable channel is displayed on the screen of CRT10. As only the command on audio equipment is effectively received by a remote-controlled receiver 22, as it is, said keyboard 20 completely depends on the selected function. Thereafter, as only an operation key 23 related to audio control is effective, it is able to receive radio.
