Abstract:
PURPOSE:To avoid the danger for a car safety controller using a microcomputer, by shunting the safety controller after detecting a malfunction of a processor. CONSTITUTION:The electric circuits 1 and 2 are connected to a CPU1 of a car controller via an AND circuit 5, and the CPU1 is reset by applying a low-level signal. The initial state of an input-output port of the CPU1 in the reset mode. In a normal process mode, a signal is delivered from an output port P to give the switcing between prescribed high- and low-level signals. In case the CPU1 has no normal resetting with the initialization and the restart given from the curcuit 1 and in case the signal of the circuit 1 which is given several times after the discontinuation of the signal of the port P is not delivered to the port P, the circuit 2 is held at a low level. Then the reset terminal of the CPU1 is set at a low level to obtain a control run mode. In such way, a safety device having an effective operation can be obtained.
