Abstract:
To constitute an original car speed detection system in an independent navigation together use type car navigator with high accuracy by using an acceleration sensor.
An acceleration sensor 1 attached to a car so that a max. sensitivity axis coincides with the front and rear direction of a car body, a curve travelling detection means 3 for detecting the curve travelling of a car and an operation means 5 for integrating and operating the output of the acceleration sensor 1 to calculate a car speed and compensating the output error component of the acceleration sensor 1 by the effect of centrifugal force when the curve running of the car is judged by the curve running detection means are provided.
