Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate fluctuation in a washing time of lower washing equipment due to a length of an automobile.SOLUTION: A vehicle washer comprising a portal car washing machine 1 which washes a vehicle body surface other than an underside of an automobile stopped at a prescribed stopping position and lower washing equipment 3 which washes the underside of the automobile. The portal car washing machine comprises a vehicle washing device which is so provided as to movable in a lengthwise direction of the automobile and washes a vehicle body surface of the automobile in association with movement thereof, and a vehicle type sensor 20 which detects at least a rear end of the automobile. The lower washing equipment 3 comprises washing blocks 3A to 3D having a washing range which is plurally divided over the lengthwise direction of the automobile. The vehicle washer comprises control means which changes the washing blocks 3A to 3D operated in the lower washing equipment 3 according to the rear end of the automobile detected by the vehicle type sensor 20, and changes a travel speed when the portal washing machine 1 washes the vehicle body surface while moving from the rear end to a front end of the automobile.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
