Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car wheel manufacturing method with which the weight of a disk flange part and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
SOLUTION: As the car wheel manufacturing method, in a disk forming step, a saw-tooth-like corrugation part 19 is formed on the inner side of the linear edge so that the direction of corrugation is orthogonal to the linear edge in an area forming the disk flange part of a plate-like base material B by a corrugation part forming step, the saw-tooth-like corrugated part is extended by an extending step. The total length of the part having the saw- tooth-like corrugation part formed is increased, and the wall thickness thereof is reduced compared with that in the area forming other disk flange part. Thus, a disk can be formed by using the plate-like base material with the width of the base material shortened, and also in this case, the fitting height at a recessed edge can be fully ensured, and a rim and the disk can be adequately fitted to each other. Accordingly, the amount of the material can be reduced, the material cost can be suppressed, the manufacturing cost can be reduced, and the weight of the disk can be reduced by the amount of the shortened width of the base material.
