Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R1 is (protected) carboxy; carboxy; R2 is (protected) lower hydroxyalkyl; R3 is H or lower alkyl; R4 is (substituted) unsaturated bicyclic heterocyclic group; R5 is H or imino-protecting group; A is lower alkylene].
EXAMPLE: (4R, 5S, 6S)-6-[(1R)-1-hydroxyethyl]-4-methyl-3-[(2S, 4S)-2-{1- methyl-4,5,6,7tetrahydro-4-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinio}-methylpyrrolidin-4-yl]thio-7- oxo-1-azabicyclo[3,2,0]hept-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid chloride of formula II.
USE: Antibacterial agent.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula III or its reactive derivative at the oxo group or its salt is made to react with the compound of formula IV or its salt.
