Title:
CARBIDE-DISPERSED CARBURIZED STEEL PARTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3205194
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce carbide-dispersed carburized steel parts having sufficient wear resistance even under high temp. environment or under high frictional resistance, etc., and combining stable wear resistance, toughness, and machinability.
CONSTITUTION: The carbide-dispersed carburized steel parts have a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.05-0.18% C, 0.53-1.5% Si, ≤1% Mn, 5-15% Cr, 0.3-1% Ni, 1.25-3% Mo, 0.1-3% V, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and also have a carburized layer containing an alloy carbide composed essentially of M7C3 formed by carbide dispersion carburizing treatment. In this carburized layer, in the range between the actural service surface of the alloy steel and the position at a depth of 0.1mm from the surface, carbon concentration and hardness are regulated to ≥1.0wt.% and ≥Hv700, respectively, and the hardness of a noncarburized part is regulated to Hv270-350.
