Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having carbodiimide group and fluorescent group, highly sensitive to a nucleic acid (derived from nature), capable of readily and efficiently labeling in a short time and useful as a label for detection of nucleic acid and immunoassay.
SOLUTION: This new carbodiimide compound is represented by a compound of formula I {F is a fluorescent group; A is CH,, NHCO, O, etc.; W is a direct bond or ammonium group; Y1 to Y3 are each a group of the formula (CH2)p- L-(CH2)q [L is a direct bond, NHCO, O, etc.; (p) and (q) are each 0-12]; B is H or a group of the formula W-Y1 [A]n-F [(n) is 0 or 1], e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of the formula B-Y3-N=C=N-Y2-W' [W' is a (substituted) amino] with a compound of the formula F-A-Y1-X [X is a halogen or sulfonic acid group).
