PURPOSE: To control the height of a torch main body without imparting danger such as a burn, by mounting a support for supporting the torch main body and a lift means for raising and lowering the support in an up-and-down directions.

CONSTITUTION: A corrugated groove 16 is formed to the lower right-hand surface of a support 14 along the longitudinal direction thereof and the projection 19 of the fixing button 18 mounted to an outer cylinder 17 is engaged with said groove 16. The support 14 is raised and lowered by the lift means 30 provided to the lower end of the support 14. A groove 29 is formed to the lower inside of the support 14 in the longitudinal direction and the projection 33 provided to the end part of the fixing lever 32 having a step 31 mounted to the outer cylinder of a base stand 13 in a revolvable manner is engaged with said groove 29 at an arbitrary position to fix the support 14 at an arbitrary height position. The lift means is constituted so that a spring 30 is contracted by the handle 15 mounted to the lower end of the support 14 to make it possible to push back the support 14 downwardly. Therefore, a torch main body 12 is moved up and down to make is possible to alter an irradiation position.
