Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon black for coloring excellent in development of blackness and dispersibility and suitable for especially used for resins, rubbers, etc., and a method for producing the above carbon black.
SOLUTION: This carbon black for coloring comprises a mixture of carbon black particles with a long-chain hydrocarbon group-substituted succinic ester compound represented by a general formula (I) [wherein R1 is a 20-900C hydrocarbon group; R2 and R3 are each ≥4C polyhydric alcohol residue or hydroxy group and at least either one of R2 and R3 is a ≥4C polyhydric alcohol residue]. This method for producing carbon black for coloring comprises carry out wet granulation of powdery carbon black by using a granulating water in which a long-chain hydrocarbon group-substituted succinic acid ester compound represented by the general formula (I) is dispersed.
