PURPOSE: To obtain the carbon black composition reduced in the tendency to stain an article and the breaking of pellets during transportation by impregnating carbon black pellets with a process oil solution of a diene rubber.

CONSTITUTION: A diene rubber is dissolved in a paraffinic, aromatic or olefinic process oil to obtain a solution of a concentration of 0.2-5.0wt.%. Carbon black pellets of a particle diameter of 0.5-2mm are immersed in this solution to impregnate the pellets with the solution so that the amount of the absorbed process oil in the solution may amount to 5-80% (0.04-4.0 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. carbon black) of the DBP absorption of the carbon black represented by ml/100g and specified in JIS K-6221.
