PURPOSE: To improve rectifying capacity and wear resistance by immersing a carbon brush base material with resin containing oil and/or oil compound, and curing it.
CONSTITUTION: A carbon brush base material is immersed with resin containing oil and/or oil compound, and cured. The oil and/or oil compound includes, for example, coconut oil, beam oil, tung oil, linseed oil, castor oil, safflower oil, saturated fatty acid, synthetic resin acid, etc., and the resin includes, for example, thermosetting resin such as phenol resin, alkyd resin, unsaturated polyester resin, etc. The content of the oil and/or oil compound in the resin is desirably 26-75wt.%. The immersing amount of the material with the resin is desirably 0.5-5wt.%, and more desirably 1-2.5wt.%.
