Abstract:

To provide a carbon-containing material with organic group free from contamination by acid, salt or the like and free from necessity of purification of the material and the material not requiring drying using expensive energy cost.

The material containing carbon is obtained by reacting a material containing carbon with an organic compound expressed by general formula I, R1-N=N-R2 (I) [in the formula R1 and R2 are the same or different and each denotes an unsubstituted aryl group or a receptor-substituted or a donor-substituted aryl group].
