Abstract:
To provide a carbon dioxide electrolytic apparatus capable of obtaining an effect of removing a salt deposited in a CO2 gas passage and suppressing the occurrence of flooding in a cathode.SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide electrolytic apparatus 1 in an embodiment comprises an electrolytic cell 2 comprising a cathode 21, an anode 11, a gas supply passage 22, a liquid supply passage 12, and a diaphragm 30, a CO2 gas supply section 4 for supplying CO2 gas to the gas supply passage 22, an electrolyte supply section 3 for supplying an electrolyte to the liquid supply passage 12, and a rinse material supply section 5 for supplying a rinse material to the gas supply passage 22. The gas supply passage 22 has a first opening, a second opening, and a preliminary passage 224 provided in a part of a passage between the first opening and the second opening and allowing at least the rinse material to flow, and a switching mechanism configured to switch a flow direction of the rinse material in the preliminary passage 224 is connected to the gas supply passage 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
