Abstract:
To provide an electric field adsorption/desorption type carbon dioxide recovery system using an electrochemical cell which suppresses reduction in CO2 recovery efficiency.SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide recovery system for separating CO2 from CO2-containing gas containing CO2 by electrochemical reaction includes: an action pole 102 including a CO2 adsorbent 102b; and an electrochemical cell 101 having a counter electrode 103. By applying a first voltage between the action pole and the counter electrode, electrons are supplied to the action pole from the counter electrode, and the CO2 adsorbent takes in the electrons and adsorbs CO2 by a Coulomb force of the electrons without coupling that shares an electron orbit with CO2. By applying a second voltage different from the first voltage between the action pole and the counter electrode, the electrons are supplied to the counter electrode from the action pole, and the CO2 adsorbent emits the electrons and desorbs CO2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
