To provide a carbon dioxide removing air conditioning system effective and adequate for maintaining good room air quality while efficiently removing carbon dioxide.
The system comprises an exhaust fan 3 as a ventilating installation for carrying out required minimum ventilation to keep the concentration of harmful gas and harmful substances in a room at a reference value or smaller, and a carbon dioxide remover 2 using chemicals for absorbing or adsorbing carbon dioxide in air. The ventilating installation exhausts part of room air as well as introduces outside air, accordingly, so that part of the room air is guided into the carbon dioxide remover and circulated while removing the carbon dioxide. Thus, the required minimum ventilation is carried out to keep the room concentration of harmful chemical substance including formaldehyde at a reference value or smaller. The chemicals for removing carbon dioxide includes liquid amine, solid amine or activated carbon. Air supplied into the room is blown upward out of a whole floor surface. The waste heat from a cold/hot water generator for an air conditioning heat source is used for regenerating the chemicals.
