To provide a negative electrode for use in a lithium secondary battery that prevents a lowering of electrode capacity due to irreversible reaction of a carbon electrode in initial stage of charging and can enhance cycle life by supplying an amount of lithium wasted during charging and discharging, and to provide a producing method of the carbon electrode that simplifies the producing step and can reduce produce cost, and the lithium secondary battery using the same.
On the surface of the carbon negative electrode for use in the secondary battery, a film of a few - a few μm in thickness of metal selected from Li, Al, Sn, Bi, Si, Sb, Ni, Cu, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Zo, Mo, W, Ag, Au, Pt, Ru, Ir and In, and/or its alloy is formed utilizing the known film producing technique, and the lithium secondary battery is produced.
