To provide a lightweight carbon fiber fabric having high mechanical strength and causing neither woven yarn running off nor fabric lattice deviation.
The carbon fiber fabric 1 comprises carbon fiber and thermoplastic fiber, being formed by arranging in a matrix design carbon fiber yarns 2 as reinforcing material and thermoplastic fiber yarns 3 as warps or wefts. Because of being of such design, the carbon fiber fabric 1 is high in mechanical strength and enables its lightweightness. Besides, because of the above-mentioned arrangement, the contact area for the carbon fiber yarns 2 and the thermoplastic fiber yarns 3 is low, therefore enabling hot-pressing under low applied pressure, leading to suppressing the fabric lattice deviation and improving resin impregnation into the fabric 1 in undergoing hot-press forming as well.
