Abstract:

To provide a new carbon fiber prepreg which can be produced using recycled carbon fibers, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A carbon fiber prepreg is composed of a matrix resin composition and a carbon fiber mat impregnated with the matrix resin composition, in which the carbon fiber mat is an aggregate of chopped carbon fiber spun yarns. A method for producing a carbon fiber prepreg includes the following steps: accumulating chopped carbon fiber spun yarns, and forming a carbon fiber mat; and impregnating the carbon fiber mat with a matrix resin composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
