Title:
CARBON FIBER-REINFORCED MOLDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61255962
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain inexpensively the titled molding material having excellent conductivity characteristics such as destaticizing and electromagnetic wave shielding properties, by dispersing a carbon fiber prepd. from a polyacrylonitrile copolymer and a specified carbon fiber in a resin.

CONSTITUTION: 5W40wt% carbon fiber (A) consisting of 20W80wt% carbon fiber (a) having a tensile strength of 300kg/mm2 or above prepd. from a polyacrylonitrile copolymer and 80W20wt% carbon fiber (b) pred. from pitch and/or carbon fiber (b) having an electrical resistance of pref. 2.0W10-3Ω.cm which is a vapor-phase carbon fiber prepd. from a hydrocarbon gas is dispersed in a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin (e.g. polystyrene).
