Abstract:
本発明の補強用炭素繊維シート(1)は、炭素繊維フィラメント(2)群が一方向に並列状に配列されており、炭素繊維フィラメント(2)群を横切る方向の少なくとも一部には熱可塑性接着剤(4)が存在して一体化され、シートを構成している。この補強用シート(1)は補強効果を得るのに必要な最低限の量の炭素繊維とするのが好ましい。各炭素繊維フィラメント(2)の表面にはエポキシ系樹脂のサイジング剤層(3)が存在しており、サイジング剤層(3)とその表面の熱可塑性接着剤層(4)とは親和性が高く、両者は強力に接着されている。これにより、厚さが薄く、取扱い性も良く、補強対象物質と接着し易い補強用炭素繊維シートを提供する。
