Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide negative pole carbon material which enabls obtaining a lithium ion secondary battery with high capacity and high efficient charge and discharge, its manufacturing method and the lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: It is a powder carbon material composed of a mesophase carbon microsphere element and/or the aggregate primarily baked at 350-900 deg.C and heated at high temperature of >=2000 deg.C, and a carbon material for a lithium ion secondary battery negative pole having a surface melting layer formed in the primary baking and heating process at high temperature. The mesophase carbon microsphere separated from pitch matrix is primarily baked at 350-900 deg.C. The carbon material is enabled to manufacture by heating at high temperature of >=2000 deg.C, after removing coarce particle by classifying baked products obtained by the primary baking.
