PURPOSE: To obtain a carbon dioxide sensor which can easily sense carbon dioxide concentration in a liquid phase in a short time.
CONSTITUTION: A carbon dioxide sensor comprises a cylindrical cell 40 with both ends opened and a cylindrical piston 10 fitted into the cell 40 with an end connected to a driver, while a recess 2 with a pressure sensor 60 is provided on an inner wall 1 of the cell 40. A supersonic vibrator 50 is provided on the inner wall 1 on a circumference at the same position as the recess 2, a cut 20 running along an entire periphery is provided at the middle of the piston 10, and a flow path 30 for liquid passing through a space inside the cell 40 is provided. The sensor comprises the piston 30 which, when actuated by the driver, connects the cut 20 with the flow path 30 and the recess 2, houses the cut 20 between the recess 2 and the flow path 30, and forms a sealed space when the cut 20 and the recess 2 are connected with each other.
