Title:
CARBONATED LIQUID REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP02213688
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To distribute cooled carbonated liquid from the front door of a freezer by an arrangement wherein a dispenser including a discharge port coupled with a carbonated water unit provided with a separated cooling system in a refrigerator is positioned to distribute carbonated liquid while the door is closed.

CONSTITUTION: Carbonated water produced from a carbonated water unit 36 is cooled. For that purpose, the unit 36 is encased in the evaporator 50 of a closed cycle refrigeration system separated from the main cooling system of a refrigerator and a condenser 52 is located in a freezer compartment 12. Liquid coolant 54 is pooled at the lower section of both the condenser 52 and the evaporator 50 intercoupled through a pair of coolant coupling passages, i.e., pipes 56, 58. A proximity opening 74 is made in a freezer door 66 and an actuator 76 is coupled with a liquid dispenser 78 having a discharge port 80 to distribute cooled carbonated liquid, water or drink from a door discharge port 80.
