Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonation treatment method of steelmaking slag which is for effective utilization of steelmaking slag as a substitute for construction materials and building materials and enables effective utilization of COin exhaust gas, a target of emission suppression from the standpoint of global warming prevention.SOLUTION: A carbonation treatment method of steelmaking slag comprises supplying a CO-containing gas containing carbon dioxide to steelmaking slag to bring the steelmaking slag into contact with the CO-containing gas so as to carbonate water-soluble Ca ingredients in the steelmaking slag for insolubilization. The COconcentration of the CO-containing gas is 1 vol.% or higher and lower than 100 vol.%, and the pH required for slag elution water from the treated slag is controlled as a multivariable function of the treatment time for the carbonation treatment, the content of soluble Ca ingredients contained in the steelmaking slag and the COconcentration of the CO-containing gas.
