To provide a temperature-responsive hydrogel exhibiting excellent bioabsorbability and biocompatibility.
The carboxymethyl cellulose compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein R is OH, ONa, a polypropylene glycol, or a polyalkylene oxide derivative residue which is a copolymer comprised of a poly(propylene glycol) and a poly(ethylene glycol); the polyalkylene oxide derivative residue accounts for 5-100% of R; and n is an integer of 100-10,000).
