Abstract:
To obtain a carboxymethyl cellulose salt(CMC salt) containing unreacted fibers and suitable as e.g. a tablet disintegrant.
The CMC salt is produced using straw pulp as the feedstock pulp. Thus, the objective CMC salt containing ≥0.5 wt.% of unreacted fibers for use in applications including a tablet disintegrant can be obtained.
