To provide a carburetor having a fuel cut-off electromagnetic device never causing the injection of fuel vapor to liquid fuel.
This fuel cut-off electromagnetic device for the carburetor comprises a case having an outside surface and an inside edge, an electromagnetic chamber formed by the case under the outside surface, and a shaft arranged within the electromagnetic chamber and extending through the outside surface. The shaft comprises a head part arranged on the outside of the outside surface of the case at its tip. The shaft is movable between an extended position and a retreated position by a current carrying to an electric coil. A clearance is radially formed between the shaft and the inside edge of the case. The clearance communicates with the electromagnetic chamber. When the shaft is in an extended position, the fuel penetrates into the electromagnetic chamber through the clearance, and when the shaft is in a retreated position, the rear surface of the head part of the shaft seals the outside surface of the case.
