Title:
CARBURETOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007064138
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a carburetor which can effectively prevent afterburning in an exhaust pipe upon abrupt deceleration of an engine.

An air cut-off valve 19 for controlling supply of secondary air to an exhaust port via a valve shaft 20 is connected to a diaphragm 21 which cooperates with negative pressure within an inlet pipe. The valve shaft 20 is hermetically extended through a shaft hole 29c of a bearing portion 29. A groove 20A is formed in the valve shaft 20. Pilot air passages 29A, 29B are so provided as to intersect with the shaft hole 29c. A spool valve is composed of the groove 20A of the valve shaft 20 and the pilot air passages 29A, 29B intersecting with the shaft hole 29C. The above constitution is provided integrally with the carburetor, so that the carburetor can provide a second air valve function and a coasting-richer function.
