To ensure supply of necessary minimum of fuel for driving an engine, in the event of inflow of moisture into a float chamber of a carburetor, by avoiding the substitution, even if temporary, of most of fuel supplied to the engine by the moisture.
In the carburetor 1A comprising the float chamber 2A storing a fixed quantity of fuel, a main fuel passage 30A opened within an intake conduit 5 at the upper end side and having a main jet 32A at the lower end, which is inserted into the float chamber 2A, and a high-speed richer fuel passage 4 allowing the inside of the float chamber 2A to communicate with the inside of the intake conduit 5, a fuel suction port 4a of the fuel passage 4a is set below the level of a fuel suction port 32a of the main jet 32A, so that, in the event of inflow of moisture, at least the necessary minimum of fuel for driving the engine is continuously supplied to the engine through the main fuel passage 30A while sucking the moisture through the fuel passage 4.
