To provide a carburetor for supplying fuel to an engine while surely preventing the occurrence of run-on after key-off without increasing the cost.
The carburetor 1A comprises a fuel cut mechanism for closing a fuel supply passage with a motor driven fuel cut valve actuated by the key-off operation of the engine to cut the supply of fuel. The fuel cut mechanism has a main type fuel cut valve using a first valve element 51a provided on the front end side of one valve rod 5a for closing a main nozzle 3 at its inlet side, and a slow type fuel cut valve using a second valve element 52a provided on the base end side of the valve rod 6 beyond the first valve element 51a for closing a slow fuel passage 6 at its inlet side. With the fuel cut mechanism actuated by the key-off operation, the two valve elements 51a, 52a provided on one valve rod 6 close both main and slow type fuel supply passages at the same time.
