PURPOSE: To facilitate replacement of a power valve drive mechanism of the carburetor by a method wherein a cover is removably attached onto the upper part of a chock chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A carburetor body 1 includes therein a venturi 5, a throttle valve 7 and a main jet 10 for establishing communication between a float chamber 21 and a main nozzle 8. Further, there is also provided a power valve 13 for establishing communication between a float chamber 21 and a main nozzle 8 by by-passing the main jet 10. A valve body 15 of the valve 13 opens through the action of a rod 17 coupled to a piston 19 when a high load is applied on the engine. Further, the choke chamber 2 having the cover 22 is place on the upper part of the carburetor body 1 and the piston 19 and a spring 23 belonging to the power system is arranged below the cover 22.
