Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a carcinostatic agent for pulmonary tumor, B16 malignant melanoma and colon 26 colonic cancer by using a sugar alcohol fatty acid ester, especially sorbitol fatty acid ester as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective carcinostatic agent for pulmonary tumor, B16 malignant melanoma and colon 26 colonic cancer contains, as an active component, a sugar alcohol fatty acid ester, especially a fatty acid ester of sorbitol, sorbitan, arabitol, xylitol, mannitol or dulcitol, above all a 8-22C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid ester, e.g. sorbitol oleic acid monoester or sorbitol oleic acid diester. The carcinostatic agent exhibits excellent action and is extremely useful for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
