Abstract:

PURPOSE: A carcinostatic agent having improved shelf stability and low toxicity, comprising a cyclodextrin inclusion compound of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldoxime as an active ingredient.

CONSTITUTION: A carcinostatic agent comprising a cyclodixtrin (CD for short) inclusion compound of an oxime (PAX for short) of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde. The inclusion of PAX by CD improves shelf stability as a durg and raises extremely the carcinostatic effect of PAX. A molar ratio of PAX included in CD is 0.1W1mol, preferably 0.5W1mol. It is administrable in any form of drug, its dosage is sufficiently about 1/2W1/5 the existing dosage of PAX.
