Title:
TONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3213783
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent excessive electrostatic charge even in an environment at a low humidity, to prevent the ununiformization of a toner coating layer in the case of a one-component developer and to prevent the reduction of image density and fogging in the case of a two-component developer by incorporating fine particles heated in the presence of oxygen after treatment with a nitrogen- contg. compd.
CONSTITUTION: This toner is a positive charge type toner contg. fine particles heated in the presence of oxygen after treatment with a nitrogen-contg. compd. The fine particles heated exist preferably on the surface of the toner and it is especially preferably that the fine particles with the nitrogen-contg. compd. existing on the surfaces in a stuck, adsorbed or reacted state have been added to the toner. The nitrogen-contg. compd. is a compd. having a nitrogen-contg. group in the side chain or principal chain, preferably a compd. having an amino group, especially preferably a coupling agent having a nitrogen-contg. group or a polymer or oligomer having nitrogen-contg. groups.
