Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent reusing of a card having a reading defect and at the same time to improve the adjustment accuracy of payment, by giving a visible display of the fault on a card when a card storing previously necessary information has a reading defect. CONSTITUTION:Necessary items including a using frequency mark, a using frequency area 13, a trouble mark area 14, etc. are printed on the surface of a coupon ticket card 6. While magnetic stripes are provided on the rear side of the card 6. Then the card 6 is put into a fare adjustment machine. However, those magnetic stripes are not readable and at the same time a trouble mark is shown in the area 14. In such a case, an adjustment processing control circuit 30 decides a past trouble and therefore the information showing an unusable state of the card 6 is sent to a display device 8 from the circuit 30. At the same time, the information on said trouble card 6 is sent to an informing device 39. Then the card 6 is returned to the user. Thus it is possible to prevent the reusing of the card 6 having a reading defect and also to improve the adjustment accuracy of payment with addition of the area 14.
