PURPOSE: To originate a call with an abbreviated operation from a public tele phone by providing a desired-shaped card with a magnetic part where plural telephone numbers and abbreviated numbers corresponding to them are recorded magnetically or an integrated circuit where they are stored.

CONSTITUTION: The desired-shaped card 1 is provided with a magnetic part 3 where plural telephone numbers and abbreviated numbers corresponding to them are recorded magnetically or an integrated circuit 16 where they are stored. When the card 1 is inserted to a telephone set and the recorded abbreviated number is dialed, it is converted automatically to the recorded corresponding telephone number to call the destination. Thus, originating due to abbreviated operation is possible even on the public telephone.
