Title:
CARD CLOTHING WIRE AND RAISED CARD CLOTHING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP03206171
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain raised card clothing capable of forming uniform fluffing with a stabilized direction of needle action without any disturbance of needle row by planting hard steel wires having almost shell-shaped cross sections into base cloth.

CONSTITUTION: Hard steel wires of almost shell-shaped cross sections having two faces 3 containing an edge angle 2 and a parallelized face 4 adjacent to the faces 3 are bent in an U-letter type so as said edge angle 2 to be needle points and planted into base cloth to form raised card clothing. By said method, said parallelized faces 4 are brought into contact with each other, in a winding between a delivery side and a winding side in a heat-treating process such as a continuous hardening or annealing, without generating any twisting, therefore any disturbance of needle row after the needle planting is able to be prevented.
