Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin card connection device for conveying a sheet-shaped IC card automatically to the inside without using a conveyance roller.
SOLUTION: When the card C is inserted, holding means 30, 38, 39 provided in a holding mechanism 5 hold both edges of the card C. A conveyance driving means A provided on a conveyance member 4 is driven, and the conveyance member 4 and the holding mechanism 5 are moved integrally in the insertion direction of the card C. Then, the card C can be conveyed automatically into a deep part of the device in the held state by the holding mechanism 5. Since a constitution not using the conveyance roller is adopted, the whole card connection device 1 can be thinned.
