Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify assembly work by forming lengthwise guide steps on both sides of a connector body and forming an operation actuator on either the left or right guide step so that a fixed step formed on either the left or right guide step can be used as an ejection mechanism for right-hand or left- hand operation.
SOLUTION: When an operation actuator 21 of an ejection mechanism 20 is pushed an ejecting part 26 of an ejection plate 22 is driven so that a memory card is ejected. The operation actuator 21 of the ejection mechanism 20 can be arbitrarily arranged on the left or right side of a connector body 10. Thereby, the need of an extra molding die and components relating to it is obviated, and expenses required for manufacturing both left-side and right-side assemblies for a left-hand and right-hand ejectors are reduced. This can be achieved by firstly arranging a fixed step 30 on the left side or right side of the connector body 10, and connecting the fixed step 30 to a housing by the use of a multiply- partitioned clamp structural body composed of clamp teeth 32 and a clamp body.
